I bought a painted black version with gold lettering. It looks very sharp with a gold RDA sitting on top. The build quality is superb. The threads are smooth, but it seems that it would be possible to get it cross threaded if you don't pay attention when putting the cap on. The cap screws on all the way with no gap between it and the body. This mod just feels right in your hand. The balance is good and the fire button on the side is easier to use than the button on the bottom of a full mech mod. The ability to take a 20700 battery is a big plus. It's solid with no rattle at all, even with an 18650 battery and the adapter that comes with it. The protective features, short protection, low battery protection, etc are nice features that provide the look and feel of a mechanical mod, without the risks of a mechanical mod. Some have said that it should have vent holes at the top, but with the protective features, this is less of an issue.
I also have the all brass version of this mod. It's just as good in all respects, but the satin metal finish isn't as agreeable to the touch as the painted version. Maybe just a personal preference. The all brass version imparts a slight metallic odor to your fingers.
Vaping for 2-3 years now. When I first started I was using a pen style device but quickly moved on to a box mod because I like the satisfaction of hard hitting draw. Saw some reviews on the Armor but was put off by the 24.7 diameter.
Thankfully I stumbled across this new version and I have to say that I’m very impressed so far. Currently using the Drop RDA with 0.18 build (Ijoy 20700 40A) and this mod absolutely rocks.
Excellent first class service from Vaping 101.
Great simple device. Well made and well priced from vaping101. Build correct and this hits well. Probably not as hard as a mech but for what it is, it's up there. Cant see a reason to buy a proper mech over this semi mech, prefer the safety this gives me. After all I vape to quit, not to get things explode or have you pay attention consistently to ensure it doesn't. This Semi Mech fits the bill perfectly as long as you got experience of building and ohms law.
