It should not be purchased for other Geekvape Aegis, Boost, Wenax or Sonder devices unless Geekvape specifically confirms compatibility with the exact cartridge.

Check the model name printed on your device before ordering. Although several Geekvape devices use B Series coils, this does not mean they all use the same replacement pod.

Compatible Geekvape B Series Coils

The Aegis Hero 5 pod uses removable push-fit B Series coils. The selected resistance determines the recommended wattage, e-liquid type, vapour production and inhaling style.

The Aegis Hero 5 has a maximum output of 50W. Although the 0.2Ω coil is marked with a 50–58W range, it can only be operated at up to 50W when installed in the Hero 5.

0.2Ω B Series Boost Coil

The 0.2Ω option produces a warm, open DTL inhale with high vapour output. It should be used with the airflow open and a low-strength, high-VG e-liquid.

Because the Hero 5 is limited to 50W, this coil should be used at 50W in this device.

0.3Ω B Series Boost Coil

The 0.3Ω coil operates between 30W and 38W. It offers a DTL vape with substantial vapour production while using less battery power and e-liquid than the 0.2Ω option.

0.4Ω B Series Boost Coil

The 0.4Ω coil is designed for RDL vaping between 25W and 35W. It provides a balance of warmth, flavour, vapour production and battery life, making it a practical everyday choice for many Hero 5 users.

0.6Ω B Series Boost Coil

The 0.6Ω coil operates between 15W and 25W and creates a cooler, more restricted vape. Depending on the airflow setting, it can provide either an RDL inhale or a loose MTL draw.

0.8Ω B Series Coil

1.2Ω B Series Coil

MTL, RDL and DTL Airflow

The adjustable airflow control is positioned towards the top of the pod. This allows you to change how restricted or open the inhale feels while helping reduce the risk of e-liquid escaping through the bottom of the cartridge.

• MTL: Close the airflow and use a 0.8Ω or 1.2Ω coil.
• Loose MTL or RDL: Use a partially open airflow with a 0.4Ω or 0.6Ω coil.
• DTL: Open the airflow and use a 0.2Ω or 0.3Ω coil.

The selected coil is just as important as the airflow position. Closing the airflow will not turn a high-powered 0.2Ω coil into a suitable nicotine salt MTL setup.

Top-Filling Hero 5 Replacement Pod

The top-filling system allows you to refill the cartridge without removing it from the Aegis Hero 5 device. A silicone stopper seals the filling port between refills.

How to Fill the Aegis Hero 5 Pod

1. Place the device upright on a stable surface.
2. Open the silicone filling stopper on the pod.
3. Insert the e-liquid bottle nozzle into the filling port.
4. Fill the cartridge without exceeding its 2ml capacity.
5. Remove the bottle nozzle and clean away any excess e-liquid.
6. Close the silicone stopper firmly.
7. Allow a newly installed coil to stand for five to ten minutes before vaping.

Do not place e-liquid into the central airflow opening. Keeping the silicone stopper clean and completely closed will help prevent leaking.

Replaceable Push-Fit Coil Design

The pod itself does not contain a permanently installed coil. Instead, a separate B Series coil pushes into the opening on the base of the cartridge.

When flavour or vapour production begins to decline, replace the coil rather than discarding the entire pod. The cartridge only needs replacing if it becomes damaged, cracked, heavily worn or no longer forms a reliable seal.

How to Install a Geekvape B Series Coil

1. Remove the pod from the Aegis Hero 5 device.
2. Take the new B Series coil out of its packaging.
3. Add a few drops of e-liquid to the exposed cotton openings.
4. Align the coil with the opening in the bottom of the pod.
5. Push the coil firmly into place until it sits flat.
6. Fill the pod through its top filling port.
7. Leave the filled pod upright for five to ten minutes.
8. Begin at the bottom of the coil’s recommended wattage range.

Check that the coil is fully inserted before filling. An incorrectly fitted coil can prevent the pod from sealing properly and may cause leaking.

Which E-Liquid Should You Use?

The Aegis Hero 5 pod can support a wide selection of e-liquids because it accepts coils ranging from 0.2Ω to 1.2Ω. The correct liquid depends on the installed coil rather than the pod alone.

Using 0.2Ω or 0.3Ω Coils

• Choose a lower-strength, high-VG e-liquid
• Best suited to 70VG shortfills
• Use an open airflow setting
• Avoid 10mg and 20mg nicotine salts

Using 0.4Ω or 0.6Ω Coils

• Suitable for RDL vaping
• Use lower-strength 50/50 or compatible high-VG e-liquid
• The 0.6Ω option can use lower-strength nic salts
• Avoid unnecessarily high nicotine strengths

Using 0.8Ω or 1.2Ω Coils

• Best suited to 50/50 e-liquid
• Compatible with nicotine salt e-liquids
• Use a lower wattage and tighter airflow
• Produces less vapour and uses less e-liquid

Always follow the wattage range printed on the installed coil. Using excessive power can burn the cotton and shorten the coil’s usable life.

When Should You Replace the Hero 5 Pod?

The replaceable coil normally wears out before the empty pod itself. You can continue using the same cartridge after installing a new coil, provided it remains clean and undamaged.

Replace the complete pod when you notice:

• Cracks or physical damage to the cartridge
• A damaged or loose silicone filling stopper
• Persistent leaking after replacing and correctly fitting the coil
• Heavy staining that cannot be cleaned
• A loose connection with the device
• Damaged magnets or contact points
• Airflow control that no longer operates correctly

A small amount of condensation beneath the pod can occur during normal use. Remove the cartridge occasionally and wipe its base and the device contacts with dry tissue.

How to Clean the Aegis Hero 5 Pod

1. Remove the pod from the device.
2. Empty any remaining e-liquid.
3. Remove the installed B Series coil.
4. Wipe the pod using clean, dry tissue.
5. If rinsing the empty cartridge, use clean water only.
6. Allow the pod to dry completely before reinstalling a coil.
7. Never rinse or submerge the coil itself.

Do not return a wet cartridge to the device. Moisture around the contacts can interfere with coil detection or damage the electronics.
