About Starter Kits
A starter kit is simply a vape kit that comes with everything that you will need to start vaping, without being as complex and challenging to use. Whilst these devices are great for more experienced vapers too, the simplicity and ease of use of starter kits is what makes them the ideal place for someone who is new to vaping. Starter kits can come in various forms found throughout our site including pod kits and vape pens. Often, a factor that defines starter kits in their compact shape, size and simple design.
That is not to say that these devices do not offer amazing features, or that they are any less impressive as feats of technology, just that they are more appropriate to users who have only recently taken to vaping and do not have much vaping experience.
When starting out on your vaping journey, we would advise starting from the beginning, which as we're sure you can imagine, involves opting for a starter vape kit. In doing so, you will be much less likely to become overwhelmed by the device itself, easing the transition to using vape and allowing you to focus on what's most important: kicking your smoking habit.
Every starter kit that you will find in the selection above is easy to use, so we can assure you that even if you are a completely inexperienced vaper, the learning curve will not be steep. These types of vape kits are hassle-free, pocket-friendly, and as they each use a rechargeable battery that boasts an impressive battery life, we can guarantee that you will get a lot of life out of them. To ex-smokers looking for the next step after making the decision to quit tobacco cigarettes, we couldn’t recommend e-cigarette starter kits enough.
Starter Kits FAQs
For new vapers, the choice of different vapes can be overwhelming because of the extensive range of pod kits, AIO kits, vape pens and more. When choosing a starter kit, you’ll want to think about a few important factors to help narrow down your decision. Not every vape performs the same, and some have different power outputs or designs and cater to different styles of vaping.
For ex-smokers, nicotine strength is an important consideration so we recommend opting for a vape designed for mouth-to-lung vaping. The Uwell Caliburn A2 pod kit is a popular device amongst vapers for its pocket-friendly design, ease-of-use and its ability to produce great flavour.
If you're interested in cloud-chasing, the Voopoo Drag X 80W Pod Kit or the Dotmod Dotsick Revo Kit is a great device as it's an excellent entry into sub-ohm vaping. These are just a few suggestions of popular starter kits, but we encourage you to explore the full range to find one that suits your needs, preferences and style.
The majority of vape starter kits are designed for mouth-to-lung vaping as they are smaller in size and as such, have a lower power output. If you are someone who has recently quit smoking cigarettes, it is best to opt for a device that uses e-liquid with a nicotine content. In this instance, we recommend opting for a nic salt of 50/50 e-liquid to pair with your device.
Some starter kits are designed for more cloud production, in which case we recommend using a shortfill due to its higher VG content. Be sure to check the output of each device and ensure you know what e-liquid is meant to be paired with it before use.
Our vape starter kits do not come with e-liquid - this will need to be purchased separately. You can explore our range of shortfills, 50:50 e-liquid, nic salts, and nic shots using these links or by selecting the option from the mega menu above. Alternatively, you can explore our whole range of e-liquid here.
It may not come as a great surprise to you that after health reasons, the cost of smoking is one of the main reasons that people hope to quit and look to vaping as a cheaper alternative. Whilst purchasing a vape kit comes with an upfront cost unlike smoking cigarettes, starter kits provide a cost-effective entry, with the majority of vapes sitting at around the £15 to £20 mark. Additionally, over time, the cost of purchasing e-liquid and replacement coils for your device is significantly less than buying more cigarettes!
If your vape kit comes with a tank, you will need to purchase replacement coils for when those that come with the device burn out. Tanks can be found on most vape pens as opposed to pod mods which have coils built into the pods that come with the device.
If the vape kit that you are currently using was designed for beginners and you feel comfortable with all of its features and the type of vaping experience that you are looking for, it may be time to move onto a more advanced vape kit. These vape kits will offer you more technologically advanced features and settings that you can customise to your liking.
Box mods offer additional functionalities and are highly regarded for their customisability, so you may choose to pair them with a suitable vape tank as part of your next vaping adventure. As the batteries included in these types of devices are larger, they are capable of outputting a lot more power to your e-cigarette. In most cases, more power produces more vapour, so vape mods are most commonly used by cloud chasers – vapers who use sub-ohm, direct-to-lung devices and high VG e-liquids.
