What are Vape Pens?

Vape pens are a type of vape kit that feature a slim design that uses a built-in battery and single button operation. Unlike other types of vape kits, pen-style vape kits are not defined by the level of experience that is required to use them but rather their shape and design. They are loved by vapers of all experience levels, from beginners looking for an easy-to-use vape device to more experienced vapers looking for a simple everyday vape.

Vape pens combine a 2ml tank or pod and a mod with an impressive battery life, considering the device's smaller size. A key feature of most pen vape kits is its fire button with a one-button operation, although many are also draw-activated.

If you're looking to upgrade from disposable vapes before moving onto a more advanced vape kit, vape pens are the perfect option. Whilst they may be easy to use, the vape experience that they offer is no less enjoyable!

Pen Vape Kits FAQs

The type of vape juice to use will depend on what pen style vape kit you want to use. When selecting your pen kit, be sure to pay special attention to the resistance of the coil that is in use. The majority of vape pens are designed for MTL vaping, however, there are some pen kits that are more powerful and designed for use with sub-ohm coils. MTL vape kits are best to be used with 50/50 e-liquid or nic salts, whereas sub-ohm pen kits are best used with a shortfill e-liquid. Our stock includes pen kits from top brands from Innokin, Uwell, Vaporesso, Voopoo and more so you're sure to find a device that suits your style and needs.

First, unscrew the tank or cartridge from the battery. Next, locate the filling ports on the tank or cartridge. These may be on the bottom, top, or side of the tank or cartridge, depending on the model. Use a dropper or syringe to fill the tank or cartridge with e-juice, being careful not to overfill it. Screw the tank or cartridge back onto the battery, making sure it is securely fastened. Give the e-juice a few minutes to soak into the wick before using the vape pen.

A vape pen kit is a type of e-cigarette that is shaped like a pen or a cylinder. It typically consists of a battery, a tank or cartridge for holding e-liquid, and a heating coil or atomizer.

A pod kit, on the other hand, is a type of e-cigarette that uses disposable or refillable pods instead of a tank or cartridge. The pod itself contains the e-liquid and the heating element, so there is no need to refill a tank or replace an atomizer.

Simplicity is key when it comes to beginners. Luckily, there are a range of simple to use vape kits that we stock here at Vaping 101, and many of these are vape pens. For example, theUwell Caliburn G2is an excellent choice with its clean design, simple refilling system and single button operation. Check out our beginner’s guide to vape kits to help you find the right device for you.

Vaping only becomes dangerous when you are using counterfeit products that have not been made to the strict regulations that legitimate manufacturers adhere to. We take this very seriously here at Vaping 101, ensuring everything we stock is to the highest safety standards and abides by TPD regulations. Moreover, by following vaping best practices you can ensure the safety of you and your device. For example, we do recommend not leaving your device on charge overnight as it can damage the battery long-term and cause it to overheat.

Vape pens are considered a step up from disposable vape pens. Reusable vape pens are more cost-efficient because you only have to replace the e-liquid rather than the whole vape, and the batteries can be recharged so you can use them many times.

Another key benefit of vape pens is that they allow you to try a wider range of e-liquid flavours instead of the ones that come pre-filled in disposable vapes.

Pen kits are not ideal for advanced vapers or sub-ohm vapers who want a more intense flavour and cloud experience, but they're a perfect stepping stone between disposable vapes and more advanced vapes.
