Description - Vaporesso Armour Octa 220W Vape Kit
The Vaporesso Armour Octa 220W Vape Kit is a powerful dual-battery sub-ohm kit designed for experienced vapers who want high output, replaceable batteries and a particularly rugged device. Powered by two external 18650 batteries and Vaporesso's AXON 3.0 chipset, the Armour Octa provides adjustable output up to 220W alongside a choice of power modes and an easy-to-read 0.96-inch TFT display.
The UK version is supplied with the 2ml Vaporesso iTank T and two GTi Dual Mesh coils, giving you a complete DTL setup designed for rich flavour, substantial vapour production and a smooth, adjustable airflow. The kit also introduces Vaporesso's upgraded Armour protection system, including water, dust, waterjet and impact resistance alongside additional battery and charging safeguards.

AXON 3.0 Chipset With Up To 220W Of Power
At the heart of the Vaporesso Armour Octa is the AXON 3.0 chipset. The device is capable of producing up to 220W, giving experienced users plenty of power for compatible sub-ohm tanks and coils.
The Armour Octa provides several operating modes, including Pulse, Eco, Boost and Temperature Control. Boost mode is designed to provide stronger and more stable power delivery, while Eco mode can be useful when conserving battery power is more important than maximum performance.
The supplied GTi coils operate considerably below the device's full 220W maximum, so always use the recommended wattage range printed on the installed coil.
Dual 18650 Battery Power
The Vaporesso Armour Octa Vape Kit runs on two removable 18650 batteries. Replaceable cells make the device particularly useful for regular high-wattage users, as a charged matched pair can be swapped in when required rather than relying on a permanently installed internal battery.
For dual-battery devices, we recommend using two matching high-drain 18650 batteries of the same brand, model, age and usage history. Never use batteries with damaged wraps or other visible damage.
Eight Ways To Stay Armoured
Durability is one of the main differences between the Armour Octa and a conventional high-powered vape kit. Vaporesso describes the device as offering eight forms of protection covering both the exterior of the mod and its electrical systems.
Water, Dust, Waterjet & Drop Protection
The Armour Octa mod is designed with IPX8 water resistance, IPX9K waterjet resistance and IP6X dust protection. Vaporesso also tests the mod for drops from 1.2 metres across 26 different angles.
A reinforced cage-style construction, protected USB port and anti-collision elements add further physical protection for demanding everyday use.
Important: these environmental and drop-resistance ratings relate to the Armour Octa mod itself rather than the complete tank and coil assembly.
Battery Guard & Charging Protection
Vaporesso has also focused on the additional considerations that come with a dual-18650 device. The Armour Octa's Battery Guard incorporates voltage surge protection and can cut output if the voltage difference between the two batteries exceeds the device's specified safety threshold.
Charging Overheat Protection monitors temperatures during USB charging and is designed to stop charging if the specified temperature threshold is exceeded.
Overtime 2.0 Protection
Overtime 2.0 is designed to help prevent prolonged accidental firing. A single extended activation causes output to be cut, while repeated overtime activation within a short period can cause the device to power down.
2ml Vaporesso iTank T
The UK Vaporesso Armour Octa Kit is supplied with the 2ml Vaporesso iTank T. Designed for high-airflow DTL vaping, the iTank T combines top filling with a widened adjustable airflow system to provide a smooth and open inhale.
The tank is compatible with Vaporesso's GTi replacement coil platform, making it easy to adjust the experience by choosing a compatible resistance and wattage range.
GTi Dual Mesh Coil Performance
Two Vaporesso GTi Dual Mesh coils are supplied with the Armour Octa Kit.
GTi 0.2Ω Dual Mesh Coil
The pre-installed 0.2Ω GTi Dual Mesh coil has a recommended operating range of 60-75W, with Vaporesso listing 65W as its preferred setting. It is a higher-powered DTL option designed for substantial vapour production and strong flavour.
GTi 0.4Ω Dual Mesh Coil
The included spare 0.4Ω GTi Dual Mesh coil operates between 50-60W, with a Vaporesso recommended setting of 55W. It provides a slightly lower-powered alternative while retaining a direct-to-lung draw.
What E-Liquid Should I Use With The Armour Octa?
The iTank T and supplied low-resistance GTi coils are intended for sub-ohm DTL vaping. They are best paired with e-liquids formulated for higher-powered vaping, such as high-VG blends.
This is not designed to provide the tight MTL draw associated with low-powered starter kits and small pod systems.
Comfortable & Secure Design
Despite its rugged construction, Vaporesso has paid attention to how the Armour Octa feels during regular use. Its silicone surface has an anti-slip, cushioned texture designed to provide a secure grip, while the controls include a convenient swipe-to-lock system to help prevent accidental adjustments.

The Vaporesso Armour Octa is best suited to experienced DTL and sub-ohm vapers looking for a powerful replaceable-battery setup. Its 220W maximum output, dual 18650 configuration and range of operating modes provide considerably more control than a basic pod kit.
