VooPoo Uforce-X 2 Tank Review
The VooPoo Uforce-X 2 is a PMPX-variant sub-ohm tank available in direct-to-lung and mouth-to-lung versions. The DTL model uses an 810 drip tip while an MTL alternative is offered for tighter draws. The tank aims to keep the design simple and efficient, with a focus on airflow and PMPX mesh coils.

Design and build

The tank disassembles easily for maintenance. The top cap unscrews to reveal the fill port, and the base removes to access the coil and the bottom chamber. Spare glass and a set of replacement O-rings are included in the box, which is useful given the number of seals around the glass, top cap and drip tip.
Airflow architecture

Airflow channels run down through the tank body and up through the coil housing, so each intake path goes directly through the coil. The result is a straightforward and efficient airflow design. The tank uses a top-airflow configuration, which improves leak resistance but carries the characteristic high-pitched whistle some top-airflow tanks produce.
Coils and compatibility

The Uforce-X 2 ships with two PMPX coils in the box, including a 0.5 ohm mesh coil and a 0.3 ohm PMPX coil. The 0.5 ohm coil is a mesh wrap design and is marked with a recommended power range around 60 to 80 watts on the coil itself.
Coil installation is push fit. The coil simply slots into the base chamber and a press fit secures it. The side air holes on the coil housing are arranged so there is no one specific orientation to match when inserting the coil.
Wicking and priming

Priming the mesh coils is straightforward. Saturate the visible wick ports with a few drops of e-liquid, and add a little liquid into the coil bore. A quick gentle blow through the coil can help distribute the liquid along the wick before fitting the coil into the tank. Once the coil is seated and the tank is reassembled, use a short waiting period or a few gentle primer puffs to ensure full saturation.
Filling
The top cap reveals a push-in fill port. Open the cap, insert your nozzle into the port and squeeze in e-liquid until you see it enter the chamber. The top-fill is uncomplicated and easy to access during routine use.
Practical performance
The Uforce-X 2 is intended as a restricted direct-to-lung tank for the DTL variant, with a comparatively open airflow compared with prior versions. Expect a generous airflow and strong coil flavour typical of mesh PMPX coils. The coils themselves have a solid reputation in this platform and are described as performing well for sub-ohm use.
Because the tank uses top airflow, you will notice a distinct whistle at some settings. That is a trade off for leak resistance and the particular airflow routing.
MTL versus DTL

Switching between DTL and MTL use requires the MTL version of the tank or alternate drip tip arrangements. The DTL model uses an 810 drip tip. A 510 adaptor or a dedicated MTL drip tip is needed to create a true mouth-to-lung experience, and that adaptor is not included with the DTL variant.
Build quality and spare parts
The tank includes a spare glass section and multiple O-rings to cover the glass joints, threading and drip tip seals. Take care when removing rubber seals and O-rings during maintenance to avoid tearing or misplacing them. One small rubber seal lines a portion of the fill area; it must sit correctly when reassembling to maintain proper sealing.
Pros and cons
Pros:
- Simple, efficient airflow that routes directly through the coil
- Mesh PMPX coils with consistent flavour and sub-ohm performance
- Top-fill design and generous airflow for DTL vaping
- Spare glass and plentiful O-rings included
Cons:
- Top-airflow whistle at some settings
- DTL model requires an adaptor or the MTL version for true mouth-to-lung use
- Small sealing components can be fitted incorrectly or damaged if handled roughly
Verdict
The VooPoo Uforce-X 2 is a competent, no-frills tank that focuses on delivering efficient airflow and reliable mesh coil performance. It suits vapers who prefer a restricted DTL draw with strong coil flavour and appreciate the convenience of push-fit PMPX coils. The inclusion of spare glass and multiple O-rings is a practical touch, and the overall design is easy to service. If you are sensitive to top-airflow whistles or want an out-of-the-box MTL experience, consider the dedicated MTL version or seek an appropriate drip tip adaptor.
