A sub ohm kit is a vape kit designed to operate with coils below 1.0 ohm resistance. Lower resistance coils at higher wattage produce more vapour and stronger flavour than standard pod kits or starter kits.
They are built for direct-to-lung (DTL) vaping rather than the tight MTL draw of a cigarette-style device.
MTL (Mouth-To-Lung) vaping involves drawing vapour into your mouth first, then inhaling. It mimics a cigarette draw and works best with nic salts and pod vapes.
DTL (Direct-To-Lung) vaping means inhaling directly into the lungs in one motion, like a deep breath. Sub ohm kits are designed for DTL vaping, producing far more vapour and flavour at lower nicotine strengths with high-VG e-liquids.
If you are new to sub ohm vaping, the Geek Vape Aegis Max 100 Kit and Vaporesso Armour Ultra are the easiest starting points. Both operate at up to 100W with simple controls and include everything you need in the box.
